Hakkinen SLR GT Debut at 2007 Dubai Motor Show

A limited edition racing version of the fabulous Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren will be unveiled by double Formula One World Champion Mika Hakkinen, on the Mercedes-Benz stand at the 9th Middle East International Motor Show on Wednesday, November 14.

The limited edition Mercedes-Benz SLR GT racecar, designed for the track and not for the road, was developed by British motor racing specialists RML Group (Ray Mallock Ltd) following requests by motor sport enthusiasts within the SLR CLUB.

Just 21 will be built and they will take part in the SLR CLUB Trophy, a competition series forming part of the SLR CLUB racetrack programme in Europe.

This limited editionMercedes-Benz SLR GT racecar has a kerb weight 1390 kilograms, maximum output 680 ps at 1.75 bar boost, and maximum torque of 830 Newton metres to guarantee the ultimate racetrack performance.
